My name is Mike, I’m an Assistant Engineer for a civil engineering firm in Southern California.  That doesn’t sound very “artsy” but I’ve grown up with art, drawing and painting being a part of my regular routine.  I try to bring an artistic touch to everything I do.  Traditionally most of my work has been pencil and paper but over the past 12+ years I’ve learned to utilize graphics programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and most recently Painter as well as Lightwave and Maya for 3D modeling, rendering and animation.  Starting in 2011 I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of a local art group that has regular figure study classes.

Creating or “being creative” is where I thrive and it’s provides some of the most enjoyable times and memories.  I hope to share some of those as I go along here on this blog.  Hope it’s enjoyable for others as well.
